Intercom Comes & Goes ??

My intercom has just begun to blink out at times.

If I thump the stereo, it will come back on almost every time, but I usually just wait for the next bump in the road to kick it back on.

 

It sure seems like a short, but I don't have a clue what's inside the stereo/intercom case.

I looked under "Known Issues", but that is not yet restored since the site's crash.

 

I have a new set of J&M phones/mics.

 

Does anyone know what the problem might be & how I might fix it ??

Popeye remove the radio from the fairing and tighten the black spindles that lock into the dash cover. While you have it out put some dielectric grease in the 2 blue connectors.that should fix the problem for you.

Thanks Muffinman, I was clueless.

 

I believe I can find some 'black spindles' to tighten and 'butter a couple of blue connectors'.

 

This will make my navigator VERY happy.
