Reaney in NH Posted June 5, 2009 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2009 I'm so bummed... My Federal tire exploded while seating the bead. had beads heavily lubed with ruglyde tire lube. Exploded around 100 PSI. Scared about 10 years off my life... but nothing hurt but my pride and my wallet. Guess I'll put the old tire back on until I find another tire. Has anybody tried grinding the huge lip on the wheel off? It would certailnly make beading these up easier... safer too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BigBoyinMS Posted June 5, 2009 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2009 I've thought about that same thing. That extra lip makes it a pain. My Kumho took 112 to seat.
