The two cross pieces at the bottom are straped to the jack, the frame actually balanced pretty well. Also have a bungee cord to the handle to keep it from going out as we place the rock on top. My wife and I each had a step ladder and we would climb up, set the rock centered on top and once it was there it balanced real well. She would stay on the ladder and I jacked it up closed to the ceiling and manuvered it in place before final jack. Worked real well. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
