Ron aka grasshopper Yes you should remove it first. It will stretch some. I had trouble with mine not fitting tight enough so I used double sided tape underneath it. Kregerdoodle Posted January 15, 2009 Share #3 Posted January 15, 2009 Ron, I do not have one on mine, but I would say " Yes and Yes " The leather will stretch to fit. K
ronhenry4 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted January 15, 2009 did anyone have to cut off any excess from the top end by the handle bars?
KeithR Posted January 15, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 15, 2009 I just left the excess alone....tried to fold it over and stick it on but in won't stay. It don't interfere with anything. Keith

RoadKill Posted January 15, 2009 Share #7 Posted January 15, 2009 did anyone have to cut off any excess from the top end by the handle bars? I forgot till you posted that I had to cut the gas fill neck hole bigger on mine. It was off center. Just like me
ronhenry4 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted January 15, 2009 the gas cap is off center on mine as well i got it trimmed out to get it on but the slots for the plastic cover near the gas cap is off to so i may have to trim that as well.. so just leave the extra alone on the end? davecb Posted January 16, 2009 Share #9 Posted January 16, 2009 I trimmed the front on mine and used 2 sided tape to hold it. Mine also did not align perfectly with the holes/slots, but with a little finessing it will fit...
