Texaskid Posted November 22, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 22, 2008 I have a 89 Venture Royale, 86,000 miles on her. Just bought it 3 weeks ago. I do not have a manual as of yet. Would like to change the wires due to the fact that one of them has electrical tape around the plug. Do I need to pull the faring off to do this. It also looks like I have to pull the seat to get to the rear plugs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Yammer Dan Posted November 22, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 22, 2008 No and No. Small hands help. The ends that go in the coils have a O-Ring on them to help keep them in there. You need to make sure you get these back in there. I cut a little cross on the end of the wire so it will go on the post in there easier. Pulling battery box makes it a lot easier.
