Jethroish Posted August 15, 2011 Author Share #26 Posted August 15, 2011 So there IS a way to have these grips again. We had them on our old bike and Mike loved them. Went to the dealer to get this done and they wouldn't do it because of the weights issue. I'll show him this thread and see what he thinks about it again. Thanks for the info! All you need is a Dremel or similar.
Freebird Posted August 16, 2011 Share #27 Posted August 16, 2011 Or you can change to the bar ends that KuryAkyn makes specifically for their grips.
ahoutzer Posted August 16, 2011 Share #28 Posted August 16, 2011 The only ends that I've seen for Kury Iso grips are the flat caps and the stiletto type. They don't have any weight in them -- they are all style and no substance. Are there others that have weight to stop vibration?
lshafer Posted August 16, 2011 Share #29 Posted August 16, 2011 I just put the Barrons Bullet end weights on mine that fit the ISO grips by Kury. They're pretty heavy but I don't know the exact weight. They look really nice but the're about 1/2" shorter than stock. I like them a lot. I think they ran be about $50 from my local Yammi shop. SteveP Posted August 16, 2011 Share #32 Posted August 16, 2011 Or, if you prefer, Kury makes end weights that are more like an extension of the grip in terms of shape. Personally, I prefer them over the bullet ends. These also come in black, which is an interesting look. http://www.kuryakyn.com/Products/2777/Grip-End-Weights
