Passenger Audio control

New owner of 89 VR and have been using this forum to learn a LOT. Sometimes it is better to just ask. See attached photo. On the rear audio control I found the two wires and have figured out the one works the intercom. What happens when I plug the wire with the silver tip into the passenger controls? Also where to store the intercome wire when not using? Thanks.

When the remote passenger control is plugged in, the other DIN jack is for the passenger headset that is mounted in the helmet.

It appears you have one too many cables and plugs.

OK it looks like you have 2 helmet cables. There is only one cable that goes from the to the control unit. The the helmet cable plugs into the unit and your helmet speakers.If you look on the trunk on the left side you will see a niche that the control unit plugs into. When I am not going to be using it for a long time I just put it in the trunk cables and all.
