New to these bikes.

I have A 1983 venture royale. Bike was knocked over before I got it runs good but all the plastic is destroyed so I've decided to make a bobber. But I absolutely hate the bars that are on it. And I can't seem to locate a proper fitting top triple tree or a bracket to mount different bars on it. Also looking for some ideas for a forward control mod before I just go ham fabricating a set up for it. Thank you all in advance and if there is already a thread for this please drop a link and I'll look there.

Remove the stock handlebar holder and substitute risers from another Yamaha model, (Royal Star, V-Star, Road Star, etc.), most of the larger Yamaha bikes use a 12mm riser shaft, like the 1983-1993 XVZ Ventures. The length of the "riser" stud would be a consideration, however.

Replacing the stock riser with a pair of independent risers will give you the capability to install conventional handlebars.
