It's named after me......Oldschool....although my wife calls it my other woman. She told me I ride oldschool just as much as I ride her! That's alot of riding...no wonder I'm always tired!

Does anybody out there have a pair of mounting brackets for the driver backrest? I'll also need the bolts and stems for them too. You can give me a price or if you need a part for a first gen then maybe we can trade outright for them....

My wife and I stopped at a Yamaha Dealership and I asked at the parts counter how much diaphragms cost? Well the person helping me did'nt know I could see the screen and he said they cost 113.95 a piece BUT I saw what they pay for them.....53.95 a piece! Seems like we're on the wrong side of the counter!

I just bidded on and won a set of 4 diaphrams for the price of 180.00 on ebay. The person I got them from says he should get some more in in the near future. If you like you can leave me a note and I'll give you his ebay name and address. That goes for anyone else out there too.

I've had the bike for about 4 1/2 years now and I was getting an error 3 code but now it does'nt do anything.......won't even power up. It just stopped working all of a sudden. The connections look ok to me but I'm not one to mess with wires either. I'll be pulling all the plastic off for a paint job soon. Maybe something's loose that I can't see......

Can anyone help me with this problem.....my class for my 1983 VR is'nt working at all. Even when the key is in the correct position it just does'nt come on. Any ideas what the problem might be? Does anyone out there have a spare one they would like to trade for? I have quite a few parts so I might have something that you're looking for. Is there anyone close to Temple, Tx. who could help with the problem? As always.....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me where I can get carb rebuild kits for my 83 xvz12tdk Venture? I called a dealer and he could'nt find it in any of his books and another talked of trying to put one together. I have a spare set I want to rebuild also so any help will be greatly appreciated.

My question is.......Can I take the plastic off my 83 VR and take it all to a regular auto body shop and get it painted? Is there any difference in having them paint it or is there some special motorcycle paint out there that is supposed to be used?

Hey check with squidly or cupcake...he likes that name! I left a few class parts with him and I have a bunch of other parts for the 83-85 1st gen. If you need something I ask that you pay for shipping....that's all. Squid helped me and told me to pass it on so here I am doing just that.
