yep...$$. cables are all custom by Barnett. I bought a back-up set...all 4! $$$$. really though, cables cost about 400.00.

I rode to key west from Michigan, and back a few months ago...now, I just did a 2000 mile trip around lake superior...I do tire after about 250 miles with no fairing...but I generally do only 300-350 a day...you should be in good shape.

pulled into a gas station in my town and a member of Hells Our Home M/C was gassing up an 84. He said his Harley wouldn't pull a trailer, so hes riding the Yammy for a club gettogether. I mentioned VR.org, showed him my decal, he said he would check it out. He also mentioned he hasn't had second gear for 3 years! haha, I havnt had mine for almost 2. These things just keep on goin......

ditto. except, I went with Ricks Hot Shot and Shindigen. If your mechanically inclined, its not too difficult. me personally, I used 3 gaskets! not intentionally, just had a difficult time lining up the cover and trashed the first 2 gaskets. I also removed it completely from the old electrical system...too many gremlins in there.

I tried rebuilding mine 3 times! that dang seal with the spring in it...
....if you don't seat it the first time youre done. finally, I gave up and bought a new old stock from a dealer in Cali. 400.00. metal impeller. good luck. -

Taquamenon falls in the UP is nice. as far as lower mich, ride M119 and M22 in the north. runs along lake Mich. Tunnel of Trees. You can take 66 south all the way to Indiana border, then cut over to Ohio.
