  1. Build Date Jan/2018

    Vin 0141

    Grey SVTC

    and loving it!!!!

    I was just looking at the decoder after I posted this, and it looks like you have to take in account the "Build Date" 8th last digit.

    Mine is JA000141

    I am wondering if the vin's corresponds (for example NOHAWGS o6/17 #262 ) would his vin be J*000262 or H*000262

    H = 2017

    J = 2018

  2. Talked to a Yamaha rep at the Calgary Motorcycle Show today.

    Bikes should start rolling out late January, early February. They wanted to tweek some things.

    Strengthen and improve the Parkassist handle. Redesign weather seals for storage compartments. And other little things.

    I have only ridden Inlines, so it might take a little to get used to the V-twin. I gotta say the balance is really low and easy.

    I still hate the waiting, but what can you do?

  3. Note that the OP is in Canada.... per local dealer (to me) there is a limited number of '18 Ventures for Canada and expected deliveries is the Spring. Yamaha knows this year's riding season is almost at an end so deliveries will be in the Spring.

    XV1100SE, I know Alberta has yet to take deliveries and I'm hoping to be the first. Have any arrived in Ontario yet?

  4. Well I bit the bullet, might be sleeping on the couch for awhile.

    Just order a 2018 Yamaha Venture TC.

    This is going to be my first BRAND NEW bike.

    The suspense is going to kill me until delivery(or the better half)

  5. Wondering if any one ever made a list of Bolts and sizes for Covers, Reservoirs, ect for the MKII first gen? Looking to replace with new socket cap hardware and the various parts list don't provide measurements.

    I am not ready yet to pull individual bolts yet to measure.

    Thnx

  6. Would anyone know of a company that will rewind automotive /motorcycle stators, preferably western canada northwest states.

    With a third stator on its way, I now have 2 burned stators andif I get them rewound I'll have 2 spares:cool10:

    Thanks

  7. hey Markus... didn't you know those 1st gen's don't need oil? :stickpoke: :Laugh:

  8. The motor oil is good. What I'm wondering is will the stator jacket draw oil from the oil system for cooling, or do I need to top it up thru the 1/2" plug on stator cover. Dipped a wire in there and not registering any oil.

    Thank

  9. You may send Kic a pm as I think her is in that area.

    Is there something specific youre looking for? Or just trying to keep her out of the malls? :stickpoke::rotfl:

    Brian

    Keep her out of the malls?:shock3: Easyer to find every add-on for the venture then to do that.

    I already checked with KIC, just waiting to hear back from him
