  1. I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I can't find it. Is it possible to dis-connect the cassette player from an '89 VR and still have the radio work? I sure would like to get rid of the cassette player as it doesn't work and don't want to fix it. Would love to add an MP3 player in its place. Any comments or suggestions?

  2. Master Guns - I have 3 class systems, none work all showing the E-4 error. I am in the process of repairing them. If I get one to work I will let you know.

hlange - The LED display in the dash works except for the clock. I can't set the time on the clock.

mraf - the left fairing is spoken for. It has had a broken corner that has been repaired at some time in the past.

  3. I thought I would post it here first. Parting out an '86 VR 1300. I have almost all the plastic. Some needs to be repaired. Have everything for a complete rebuild. Black and gold. Both saddle bags, bottoms and lids, trunk, purple color from '89 VR. All front fairing parts plus vents. Windshield stock height and in good condition. All braces for fairing.

Let me know by PM and I will answer all with what I have.

  4. At any rate, he was doing what he wanted to do, and that is ride. He may have been in the wrong or he may have been in the right. The main thing is another motorcyclist has lost his life. His family will never be the same. I have been to Destination Daytona during BikeWeek and was welcomed as if I was a regular customer. Rest In Peace Bruce and hope his family can get over this sometime.

  5. I'm also in the southern part of the State. Troy, right on the Ohio river. Beautiful rides that time of year from Corydon to Tell City. then up 37 North to French Lick and West Baden. Leaves should be changing about that time and fall is a wonderful time in this area. Keep us posted.

  6. Brian, try cleaning out the starter switch with electrical contact cleaner. It may be that it is a bad ground and when you hit the horn button it makes a contact to ground and lets the starter switch make contact. spray the cleaner directly into the switch and with the bike off work the switch on and off many times:pushups:. Had a problem with my switch, would stick just enough that my headlight would not come on. Cleaned it out and no problems.

  7. Cindy, awesome job on the statement. direct and to the point. I'm glad the judge heard and understood what you were saying. Wish he would have given him more time. He had the power to do that even though there was a plea agreement. Hopefully this sleeze bag will be in prison with a whole lot of BUBBA'S.
