  1. Mrs. Vicco here. I am so sorry to hear of your losses. You have my deepest condolences and my prayers that you get through this. Since losing Vicco last year, I now know what pain death causes and I hurt for you.

  2. Just saw on KVAL news that there is a fire just 5 miles west of The Dalles. That's right where we had the 2014 Venture West Rally. The fire is in the Chenowith district, which is what the area where the restaurant and motel are located. So far, the fire is 100 acres. Hope it doesn't get too big or out of control. A lot will depend on the weather. It's really dry up that way right now and it's always windy. Both things are bad for dealing with wild fires.

  3. It's a 1989, Vic designed, engineered, and built the trike himself. He bought a body since he didn't feel like hassling with the mess fibreglass makes (though he's very capable of doing it) and had the axles custom machined for length and splining. Not sure how many miles. Will have to go out to the shop sometime and take a look.

  4. Mrs. Vicco here. I'd love to chat with you folks sometime, but by the time my day is over and I can relax with some conversation, everyone has left the room. I'm here on the west coast so my chat time would start at about 6 or 7 pm, my time which is 9-10 your time. Maybe there are some other west coasters out there who would like to visit sometime.

  5. Mrs. Vicco here with a question. With Vicco gone, the trike is probably going to be sold. Some of you have seen it at the two Venture West rallies we attended. Others of you are familiar with it through the pictures of the build that we posted. Asking you to help me out...what would be a reasonable price to charge for it?

  6. Mrs. Vicco here....In 2011 and 2013, we made trips back and forth across the Rockies, altitudes as high as 10,000 feet or more, and never had a whisper of a problem. Cruised through Yellowstone Park where some of the passes are in the 8,000-9,000 and couldn't tell any difference running at those altitudes and being near sea level at home. Problems at elevation was one of our concerns before we left and we were pleasantly surprised to learn that it wasn't a concern or problem at all.

  7. Some of you met vicco at the VentureWest rally in The Dalles. Others met him at the rally in Yreka last year. He was looking forward to meeting more of you at a rally this summer, depending on where it was going to be held. He wasn't going to be able to ride much this summer. In February, he became quite ill. A trip to the ER and then scans and tests ended with a diagnosis of esophageal cancer. He started chemo and radiation treatments for it in March. Last Thursday, he had a respiratory crisis and collapsed at home. Ambulance to ER, admitted to ICU. He was put on comfort care Sunday and left this life the evening of Monday, April 18.

Friends and family are going to miss him big time. Mrs. Vicco

  8. I need a couple of screws for the clutch and front brake master cylinders. I dropped one and can't find it. Need a replacement and could use a spare.

    Thanks!

  9. I've used a portable when traveling for a couple of years. I can charge it in the car or on the trike. I talked to the place that provides my home O2 concentrator about the various ones available and decided on an AirSep. Can't tell you the actual cost because it's covered by my insurance the same as my home concentrator.

  10. For those of you who attended the Rally West in The Dalles, you might be interested in learning that there's a major wildfire burning along Hwy. 30 west of The Dalles near the small community of Rowena. That's the highway and area where many of you made rides. At this time over 200 households have been evacuated and flames of the fire are visible in The Dalles. Hwy. 30 is closed, due to the fire, from Rowena Crest Viewpoint to the west and the Country Club to the east. The following link to a local television station website will give you more information.

  11. I think I will follow the suggestion of sewing on the patches.

All of the other suggestions were carefully analyzed thoughtfully rejected. We have a special sewing machine that will sew leather and my wife has decided to give me a discount if I'm good. :)
