Most people settle for a garage sale ......But Nooo you had to go one better didn't you.

LOL, Not something I would recommend to anyone. Our power pole and meter were right next to it. Had to buy a Generator for the two weeks it took to get another meter and transformer installed.

  2. I had a garage fire in 2017. Unfortunately all my forms burned up with the garage. If there was enough interest I would be happy to make some new ones but I would need about 20 orders to get started and they would be 70 a  set shipped to the lower 48. For CA,HI and AK add 7 more for shipping.

  3. Its been a few years since I have been here, Sorry Don, Life just kinda got in the way. Anyways. Back in 2016 I grabbed a screw driver and did a minor adjustment on my idle and the bike would never start again. Kinda caught me by surprise as the bike is so damn reliable its not funny. Let her sit. and tried to figure it out from time to time. I had done all the things we swear by here and just for the life of me could not get it. Finally broke down a month ago and tore into her. I found out a few things.

    1. Seafoam is useless.   Toss it.  Get your self some BG44k.  2. Always use Stabil in every tank. The entire reasons why she stopped in evident in the pictures.

I was hesitant to pull the carbs but it turned out easier to do then pulling the airboxes apart to get to the carbs. As you can see the water the ethanol absorbed player hell with the carbs. From now on every tank will get will bg44k and stabil . Two of the floats were frozen in the off position and I had to remove them with liquid wrench and a pair of needle nose pliers.

  4. First you will loose IE. They have said that Edge will have an IE combability mode but those things never quite work right. Windows 10 will be around till 25 so don't get in a hurry to upgrade.

  5. OK, I am back. It's been a few years guys and gals. My bike stopped running around 2016 and with everything going on in life I just kinda let it sit. Finally got tired of seeing the old girl whither away and fixed it. Will be posting what I found later this week after I have it all back together. I will just give you a hint. I did a small adjustment on the idle and she never would start after that.

  6. Battery Tender won't charge a gel cell properly I don't think. It may keep it topped off but can't get it charged from totally dead. Hook it up to a six or ten amp charger and let it charge it. I ran an oddesy down three times to totally dead leaving the ign switch on in the garage for a couple of days. It still lasted me about four years doing that.

  7. Thanks Wayne. That's the noise canceling ckt. They can hear you fine usually but just a little low. The good thing is even at 80 they won't know your on the bike. I found myself yelling into the mic a couple of times. Started cupping my hand over the mic and then I quit losing my voice.:rotf: But the wife said she could hear me fine.

  8. Windows 8 machines will not just let you reformat the drive and re install 7. Its a pain to do dual boot or anything else on the new machines. The bios actually talks to the system for a "Secure Boot" now...

StartisBack is a really cheap fix and makes win 8 very close to the old 7 interface. I have it on several machines or I would have tossed win 8 a long time ago.

Biggest problem is a lot of accounting software and other stuff we use won't run on 8. So we are still buying machinces with 7 pro on them.

Mid April you guys on XP will need to get off of it. MS is dropping it then. NO MORE fixes for any hacks after that..

  9. I have the leveling links George. If I remember right it was on left turns. Seems I remember the feet pads were dragging. The way it mounts everything was just too low. Maybe why Yamaha didn't put any on the 2nd gens. Anyway, It really reduced my lean angle so I removed it about two weeks after having it on. Once you mount it I think you will see..
