Headed out from Salt Lake City this morning and just short of Ft Bridger the speedo cable broke on the '84 1st Gen

I can follow Annie for the next couple of days..... Can anyone bring me a speedo cable to the International Rally???

The hips have arthritis, as do the neck and shoulders... too many years driving long haul trucks [45+yrs]

The Venture was getting too heavy, so before any mishap I have changed bikes! A friend here wanted mine, and I wanted his...so we swapped I now ride an FJR

Still consider myself a Venture rider, don't come in here much -- but I lurk LOL and get all the goings-on from Annie

This is our last part of being on the east coast, and we've loved every minute! Sunday we move back into Canada to return the hire car, then fly to Portland.

But we take some amazing memories with us.

Tell ya what Annie. You and Alan can borrow the one I have. I'll go ahead and send it to Dave, and he can rig it on your bike. It just has a suction cup mount, but it's a whopper.... about twice as big as any other I've seen, and a heck of a lot stouter. They do make aftermarket mounts that might be more permanent if you'd like something to fit it to the riser. Let me know if you'd like to go that route.... pun intended...

 

 

Sounds like a plan Jack--thanks. If Dave thinks we need the mount no problemo's. Would you believe I've never used a gps!! I'm an Old fart-just used maps and street directories, so should get interesting
