Me and my brother have 2nd gens 02 and an 04. We also notice that horribly glare from the OD light. Years ago when I first purchase mine when doing some wiring under the fearing I found the little OD jewel, and tone it down some just so that I can see it in the day time. (If I put my had over it) night time just right. Why better then that thing glaring me in the face and off the windshield. I use paint until I had it just right. On my brothers we used some kind of film. They both worked. I thought that the paint would weakling but it has been on for about 5 years now, I believed I use black heat resistance paint. dipped it once and checked it and dipped it again. Now I had it just right for my eyes.

Rumor has it Iraq was setting on millions of gallons of oil, just lately the US demanded them to release it to us for $$. I just don't understand why we just don't take it like we did years ago. I remember back in the 70's flying over Saudi Arabia and looking down at the oil fields and completely control be the us military.

What a great weekend. Got back around 8:00pm last night. We did round 1000 miles.
Weather was super, food was good and most of all the friends are the best. Al, & Diane, Joe & Debbie, Mike & Lora, Denden & Vicky, Larry and Joyce, Eddie and Dave (Swifty) Swifty join up with us in Traverse City and Departed in Chesaning after having dinner at the Show Boat restaurant.
The riding was superb!! I think the big winers at the cosino was Big Mike and Lora.
Here's a few pic's, the others are in photo-bucket. Can't wait until next year!!!

Ramona, Yes my mom made it for us all the time, We loved it, mostly in the morning before school. Not only did she make it for us she made it for the grand kids also. I have never seen a kid that did not like Chocolate Gravy over toast or biscuits. My folks are from Tennessee and Alabama, now that may have something to do with it. Wish I had some now!

Mark and I would like to go, not sure where we will stay. Does anyone know the approximate route, we are in Grand Rapids and could meet up possibly mid day Friday, depending on his schedule. I get out of work on Friday at 11 but could probably take the morning off to pack and such. what time do you think you all would be around GR. If the weather holds we would love to hang out have a beer or two and throw some money at the slots. As well as see the colors. Hey Squid remember me I was shotgunridergirl...now I am just the passenger. Let me know it sounds like a great ride and a fun time

Hello Mark and Kim. Great you guys can make it. We will be taking the back roads. We could meet up in Carson City just north east from Grand Rapids. On highway 57 between highway 127 and highway 66 somewhere around 11:00am Friday morning. I will PM you my cell phone number. Also please PM me your cell phone number. From there were planning on taking highway 66N to 115 NW to 55W to 31N to the Microtel Inn.

The Tunnel of Trees ride Saturday Oct 11, 2008
It’s around 140 miles from Manistee MI to Harbor Springs MI, The Tunnel of Trees starts from Harbor Springs on Route 119 headed north along Lake Michigan shore passing through the tunnel of trees to a town called Cross Village. There at the Legs Inn restaurant It’s time for lunch. This is an old rustic cabin style restaurant made of field stone, drift wood and old large logs and lit with warm amber lighting inside that just makes you feel good the moment you walk through the front door. After lunch take a walked through their garden backyard overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan.

Used them all I have AVG on 4 machines, been using it for 5 years now. It's like 35.00 for 2 years (advance)for one machine, it may have went up in price, not sure. I saw it in Sam's club last week for $27.00 for two years (basic) I did use the free one for two years and like it so much I purchase the advance with spyware built in. AVG is the only anti-viruses I will use now.OK, while I'm gettig all this good advice, What are some good anti-viruses to load? I had Norton, adware, and Spybots before......

Check and make sure that the cables are clamp tight and in the right position in the junction box if there to far forward the cable will hit and drag or jam the pulley. I found this on a friends bike.
-
Steve, really sounds cool. Diane and I would be there "but" my brother is having a family get together that weekend and ask us to be there. What can I say. We miss out on another great event. We miss you guys.

Skyway & Blue Ridge Parkway
in Watering Hole
Posted
Diane and I are planning on riding all of the Skyway & Blue Ridge Parkway this summer. I know a lot of you have done this. We are planing on staying the first night in Front Royal in Virgina. Has any one stayed in that area before? I see there is a Super 8 any others?
The next stop would be Peaks of Otter It's about 192 miles, I'm not sure if we can cover 192 miles of Skyway & Blue Ridge Parkway in one day. Has any one done this before? How many miles can one cover in one day on the Ridge? Has anyone stayed at the Peaks of Otter Lodge or the Doughton Lodge or the Mt. Pisgah Lodge?
Any information will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
