  1. They were fracing everywhere they could for about two good years are in nw La during the Haynesville shell boom. Didn't here a lot about the tremers except for some in east Texas which may have been unrelated. I've heard all the rumors of the ill effects of fracing but can't confirm any of it. I know we have kids every year coming up cancer and I won't eat fish caught out the rivers or Toledo Bend. But, we also had space shuttle debris in the lake too. Who knows what kind of science projects they had on board.

I've escorted the sysmic trucks before while they were doing their thing and don't recall feeling any vibration in a vehicle, but a home close by may feel it. They usually work in pairs or group of four.

  2. They finally came by today to talk to us and take some pictures. We should know something in a few days, they have several locations to choose from. Would be so cool to have them use our house for a shoot. The guy that came out said that he paid one homeowner $700.00 just to shoot a scene in their driveway.........Hmm, could be big bucks to use our home.

That's pretty cool! Hope you get picked. The wife is ready for the next season.

  3. Maybe all the above...the first thing they may ask is if you gave him the opportunity to fix it. Or maybe you can persuade him to refund your money on the labor and paint and taken it elsewhere.

Has he been in business long? He may have civil suits against him from other shady jobs?

  4. Take off speed for a Cessna 150 is 65...:whistling:

But you are right, most trailers aren't shaped like a wing.

The thing I'd be more concerned about is cross wind (from the side).

The best looking trailer I've seen todate was at Dons MD 2 or 3 years ago. It was tear dropped shaped. Believe it was custom made so :mo money: aerodynamic is the way to go... Better fuel economy, less drag. IMHO

That's what I've always heard about van style semi trailers is the square back creates a lot of drag. There's one carrier that runs blue trucks out El Paso that has flaps installed to decrease the drag.

I have a Fieldsheer mesh vest that I like. Its not as bright as some, but its nice in hot weather. I'm sure there's better, but the best I could find at the time.

  6. Brian, I do not know why you do not come directly to ME to ask these questions about Subarus. I have told you time and again, I am a Subaru Guru.

The "correct" answer is that this is NOT a sales pitch. The Les Schwab store was in fact...correct... to tell you that. It is more of a problem if it is the 4EAT trans, the auto trans, than the manual trans. But it will also affect the manual trans too. Since Subaru makes 95 % of thier cars with an auto trans, and only 5 % with a manual trans, they give serious warning about replacing one new tire, when the other 3 tires are 50 % worn.

For those wackadoos that think this is just a sales pitch by the tire dealer...I say...stick to your KIAs and Hyundais, and leave the Subarus to the Gurus:rotf: Subarus don't even belong in Louisiana or Mississippi, because they are designed to be driven in snow country, above sea level, and on twisty roads, which there is none of in those two states.

    :backinmyday:

Sorry, but I still think it's a sales pitch. If I want to buy one tire and you tell me you cant because the mfd suggestes different. Unless I'm asking them to do something unsafe then who cares, and as long as they inform the buyer that it could result in drivetrain damage then they've passed the liablity onto the customer. I'm not arguing about what the mfd suggests, but the fact that the

dealer is using that as an excuse to persuade someone to buy four NEW tires is a sales pitch to me.

  7. Fuzzy are you looking for more tail lamps or brake lamps or both? When I had my rstd I had the 100 led board tail/brake light and I put an inspection sticker plate (jp cycles part #600-447) behind the license plate and mountad a Whelen TIR3 led strobe to it. Made an awesome auxiliary brake light. I programmed mine not to strobe. Between the whelen and the custom dynamic led board it was very bright and clean setup.

Also wiring is a very easy with the wiring directly behind the license plate.

  8. Is this the part number for the 2nd gen RSV 100 led board

    Item: GEN-100-1157YAM

How does the board secure inside the housing?

    And

What do you mean by "wow what a difference"?

My goal is to be as visibly "loud" as possible both front and rear.

    Thanks.

    VentureFar...

That's it! It sits flush against the three screw hole posts. I had one on my rstd (sold) and it was substantially brighter than the standard bulb. Definitely recommend it.
