  1. I Need the air line that comes off the solenoid for the rear shock, The part that I need starts with the banjo bolt and goes to the coupler at the right side under the seat it's about 8" Long. Or I need a way to splice mine back together.

  3. MARCARL,

Yep I added new as I went along making it look shiney.

    Safteyguy,

I'm getting ready to go out and try the screw driver trick on the big white plug.

Tonight when I got home I walked by the bike and turn the key to ACC and it took a little while for the lite to come on, and then it went directy to an E1 error every time.

    :confused07:

  4. THIGH MASTER, I like that, Thanks for all the suggestions, Miss Hack has read them all and now she wants me to get head sets to go along with my spike studed leathers.:rotf: I will try moving the trunk back alittle to give us more room, we ain't small people.

    Again Thanks to ya all.

  5. I love my better half to death, see loves to ride with me, BUT how can I help get her over squeezing me with her left leg every time a cager is coming from the opposite direction at us on a two lane road. This last Saturday we took a little trip to Nashville and south about 250 mile, and my left hip was sore from her squeezing me.:rotf::Venture:

  6. OK I have a 93VR, I started having E4 errors so I have done as suggested, soldered the board, didn't fix it, then I started getting E1,E6 & the E4 again. So I tore down the bike and done all the checks as mentioned in the service manual. While I was doing the checks on the controller, it seems to take a long time for the voltage to come up to 13.3 volts on some of the checks while testing on the back side of the plug. The solenoid valves and pump are OK. I cleaned all plugs real good with CRC. Now the display at the controller will sometimes not even light up. The only thing i have NOT done is take the fairing off and check the relay on the curb side of the bike.

I am up for any suggestions on what to do next. Has anyone done away with the CLASS system by just airing up the rear when needed by installing an air stem at the junction on the side of the seat and use a tire pressure gauge to check pressures?

If any one has a spare circuit board maybe I can see if it is just a bad board?

    I'm at whits end.

  7. Finally got my part from STOCKERS in Chula Vista CA, today and Guess what? They sent Me THE WRONG _ _ _ _ing Part.:thumbdown:It was a pickup coil for a 1989 or later model. I ordered this on June30th and they told me they would ship it out the next day, and I got it 15days later, UPS. BULL HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!! I called them immediately and they said that they tought all Ventures were the same. Box it up and return it to us and if I don't have one, I will refund your Money.

I don't know how much more of this I can take. I will go and order a new one tomorrow from parts shark for $277.02 plus S/H.:crying:

  8. Got a reply back from American Moto;

    Hello Mr. Hacker,

Thank you for your order. We apologize on behalf of Avon if you are having

an issue with one of their tires. We can inspect and replace the tire for

you if deemed defective. Since a year has passed, we will have to ask that

you send the tire back to us using the address below. Please be sure to

write RET93101 on the package, preferably near the address. Once we receive

the tire, it will be inspected and replaced as necessary. If you do not wish

to wait for this process, you can also order a new tire and have it shipped

ASAP, and send the old one back to us for a refund. This way is quicker as

you can get a new tire on its way to you without delay. Please let us know

which option you would like to take. Thanks again.

Well I don't know what I'm gonna do, I think it stinks to be without a tire for a couple weeks, and I still don't know what the final tab is yet for pickup coil repair.:nanner:

  9. I found my receipt for my tires, I purchased them from American Moto Tire not SWMoto. So I have sent an apology letter to SWMoto and fired one off to AMT. I guess since I'm so shook up about my Blue baby not running, I'm majorly brain farting. I will keep you updated.:crying:

  10. SW Moto (ERIK)sent back a reply Monday 11:30AM saying that they were going to warranty the tire themselves. They asked if I had the receipt and all I have is the receipt from the shop that mounted it.

So I will see what happens next and will let you all know.

    Thanks

  11. Yes everything tested out except for the pick up coil, it read 0 ohms,

the fuel pump, lights, fuses, primary & secondary coils OK the kick stand checked ok on resistance open & closed, we took the kill switch housing apart and cleaned with contact cleaner, But we did not bypass or jumper it, do I need to? if so how.

So far the cheapist I can find a pickup coil is 275.00 does anybody have one or know a cheap place to look.

    :nanner:

  12. I came home from the M&E in Rockville Saturday evening parked the bike, I got on it this morning and it won't start. I have checked the fuses and the battery, I pulled #3 plug and grounded against the engine case,NO SPARK. The plug looks great nice and tan, no crud. It cranks just fine, I smell a little fuel, not bad. I'm a rookie so please be patient with me and tell me where to start looking. I'm going to go to town and get 4 new plugs while I working on it. Just when we get cooler weather, this stinks!!

  13. This was my first and I had I great time. Its nice to put faces with names and get to know them. Thanks for the pics and hope fully we can ride together more often.

P.S My wife was upset that she couldn't be there, maybe next time I shouldn't tell her how good of a time I Had.(hehe)
