Also thanks I just went out and it worked. Sometime the simple things are the hardest to make work

I think you are right I went back and it does have the headset icon on the display. I've tried to cycle it through to sp but it won't come back on.

I just took out the battery and charged it. When I put it back in the radio doesn't play through the front speakers. I can barely hear it from the right rear speaker even up at max vol level.My bike is the 2000 venture mm.
