  1. Went out today without switching anything on relay. Pushed horn switch horn would not stop blowing. turned bike off it continued blowing. unplugged grnd on horn, it stopped then. Rewired, switched 85 & 86. It then turned on all lights with ign switch off. Reversed 85 & 86, then blew fuses. I did notice that 87 lug was pushed into relay. Bought new relay, haven't replaced yet. As far as being from China, it is a Wolo relay made to their specs but mfg in china. Directions are simple, checked and double checked my wiring. Ridiculous. lol

  2. I put a set of Metezler 880's on my 05 RSTD at 10,300 and now have right at 33,000 on bike. Ride 2 up periodically. I wouldn't change a thing, getting that kind of mileage out of tires. Paid 425 turn key.

  3. I put a set of Metzlers on mine, after going through 2 sets of Bridgestones (low milage tires).

I have over 21,000 mis. and looking to get a few more 1000 out of them. Little more pricey, but well worth it. As well as being a great handling tire (In my opinion).

But just like butt holes, we all have one, as well as opinions!

  4. Hey Little Bob,

I ride an 05 RSTD and I put a Quadzilla sound system from Hoppe Industries on mine a couple years ago. Very pleased, and have gotten alot of compliments on the look. Check out my pics and you can see what it looks like. At least I think their there. If you'd like more info, give me a shout.:rudolf:Dickie (Truckin48)

  5. If the bike isn't ridden for a couple of days one of the valves makes alot of noise, it will clear up after being ridden for awhile, I was told at the KAW shop that this was normal because since they are hydraulic, it leaks down. Would someone please tell me if he is correct. My warranty expires in Mar. and would like to have the problem taken care of, my pockets aren't that deep.

    Thanks and ride safe

  6. Got tired of screwing around with it. Took it to the shop (which I should have done in the first place, since it is under warranty). Come to find out my problem was that the pump was bad and of course they had to order one. Went by the shop to get some of my stuff out, the mech showed me the old pump and what it wasn't doing. By the way, had a Cops for Kids toy run Sunday and used a friends Buell Thunderbolt, which was different, but a heck of alot of fun to ride. Could get into some serious trouble with it!:thumbsup2:

  7. Hey Patrick,

I belong to PGR here in Panama City, Fl. You can go on PGR.og and you can fill app. very simple and doesn't cost a thing. One of those deals, you do what you can, no pressure.

One of the best things I have ever done.

Come on aboard, we may meet up someday, its a small world.

  8. If any of you had the unfortunate or helpless feeling as I have had when you try and take the saddlebag or trunk of the brackets and all the key and lock does is turn turn turn, really sucks!!

Well, what I did was take the locking mechanism off the bag (in my case bags), unscrew plate on back remove circular tumbler (making sure not to lose the spring that holds pressure on latch), replace plate and install lock back on to bag. Now, to remove bag from bracket just take screwdriver or knife blade and push against front side of latch. Holding latch with blade push bag backwards. Not the best way to fix the problem but it works for me!!!
