Well, I went ahead and ordered the Cardo Edge. Expensive but I wanted the longer range. Ordered straight from Cardo. They are still having a 22% off Valentines sale so ended up being cheaper than anybody else.
Good for you and your wife! You can do a lot with them besides listening to music. The FM radio feature doesn’t do much for me since the antenna isn’t the best but you’ll get more phone calls and text messages than you want!! If you’re semi- literate with these things you can have your phone read texts and then reply using the voice to text feature.

I think the units that can link up to 15 riders are the DMC ones. But if you don’t ride with a herd that all have helmet communication why buy more features than you need? The Packtalk Custom looks interesting in that you buy what you want and nothing else.

Mairi and I really like our Packtalk Bold units from Cardo. I know that the list price of them is off-putting but shopping Dennis Kirk or Revzilla can lower the sticker shock. Plus now you can pair with Sena.

Nice looking ride!!

My ‘09 RSV is short of 30,000 miles so I don’t anticipate replacing it anytime soon. With the knowledge base here on this site I can keep it running on into the next century. So, I am throwing my hat into the ring!!

Happy New Year to the VR family!! May we all meet here again a year from now still enjoying these beasts we affectionately love and caress and cuss from time to time!

Cannot locate one on that site that fits the bike. Possible generic?
I found Show Chrome p/n 61-115 as the model for the RSV. When I search I use the garage with my bike model in it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your response. I read about show chrome used to make a version.
I saw yesterday that Dennis Kirk has them in their catalog still. Just checked again and they have 3 on hand.

Across the river in Menominee.
Ok, I’m about an hour from there. We have houseguests all week so it will be hard to arrange a dinner meetup.

Are you staying in Marinette?

Are you riding? I might be open for lunch during the week.

I, for one , am extremely grateful for your vision and all that you have done with this site. I am praying for your healing and you and your wife’s health going forward. God bless you!

The lower powered mixers have issues. You might find a ton of those since people use them for jobs they aren’t built for. We have had our 525 watt mixer for over 20 years now with no problems.

When I was working, we used the Milwaukee drills being talked about with no motor failures. We drilled tons of holes in 304 stainless including some 5 inch with a hole saw. No drill failures but some sore wrists from the hole saw catching. The saw stops but the guy holding it experiences extreme acceleration in the opposite direction!

I think you done good!👍

It has been about 2 and a half weeks since I opted to hit the ditch instead of the car that was stopped facing me. My bike is at a local repair shop as the nearest Yamaha dealer is 45 miles away. The mechanic there said that it is good except for a good front end wobble when you take your hands off the bars.
With my shattered collarbone, I can't ride it to see just how bad it is, so... can the collective brain power suggest what it may be? I did hit the ditch pretty hard before it threw me off.
I am wondering if your front rim is slightly tweaked.

I don’t know about that! I can still see lines where tread is supposed to be!

Have you switch to all led lights? My sister in law put a led headlight on her Honda and all was well until she went on a long ride. The battery failed and swelled up from the heat of overcharging. Got a new battery and 150 miles down the road the same thing happened. They figured out that the regulator couldn’t dump enough power so it failed from the heat as well. Answer to the problem was to move the regulator into the air stream and add a couple more lights.
Got out for a ride

Did you have your Cardo’s installed for your ride?
