  1. Had the dealer check this issue while looking at another problem. They confirmed that the switches react backwards from the way they're labeled. They checked a unit they had on the showroom floor, and it reacted the same way. They told me they contacted Yamaha and got confirmation that all units are this way and it's normal.
  2. Cycle says I'm getting 41.8 MPG after 11.2K miles. This number settled in after being home for a couple of weeks. During a cross country trip the number was about 42.4. Crossed checked across 4 fill-ups and the stated value matched pretty close to what I calculated. Although I ride 90%+ 2-up it's almost exclusively in S mode. Normally 91+ octane, but occasionally less as sometimes I cannot find the higher octanes during our travels. From the posts I've seen here it appears that about a 42 MPG figure seems real, not bad for a cycle this big.
  3. If someone with a Venture TC has a moment; please check the reaction of the passenger FWD and REV buttons using the Inspection Mode screen and let me now how they respond. Mine are reversed! Which explains why my wife got lost trying to navigate through our chosen soundtrack. I sent pix of the issue to my dealer, who passed them along to the local Yamaha factory rep, but I haven't heard back since then. Is this a issue for just me? A goof in manufacturing? Just wondering if this is only my problem or a characteristic that needs attention. Thanks
