I grew up in Arthur, IL where there is a large Amish community, but now live 100 miles away. No Amish buggy's near me in Peoria, IL. Maybe a good excuse for a ride to the old homestead?
Also, I had a historical bell just .5 miles from home but didn't see the target till it was...got!

OK I found a truck today, but I will disqualify it myself. Yes, there is an open section in the back of the cabin, but the main cabin is enclosed. The one with no roof has been put away for the winter I am guessing. It sat out most of the summer. So keep looking for that old fire truck!

There is an open fire truck less than a mile from me and I forgot to take the picture today, maybe tomorrow.

Checking in. three weeks ago noticed an odd heart rhythm and went in for test. Two weeks ago had quad bypass surgery. Now recovering nicely, but off my bike for several months. Funny how things happen.

Mascot not something likely to be found at the curb or standing still for long.
I guess it could be got, but I can't think of where to find one locally, all the sports teams have mascots that are so neutral to avoid hurting anyones feelings, that they are just "concepts" or bland ideas! Example: Bradley Braves, used to be Indian based, but that is out except for pro teams and Florida colleges, so they are now the "Brave", just a concept/feeling/idea....whatever. How do you make a costume for that?

Tooch got the jail before I got the clown, so he gets to set the next target, is the way I see it. I just wanted to post the clown pics because I did finally get them and figure out how to get them off my phone!

OK, way late, I took the pictures a couple weeks ago, but could not get them off my stupid phone. MY IT expert son finally found a way through "dropbox" so here is my picture of a clown, a sign on top of a famous ice cream store in Peoria, IL and me and at least part of my bike...I am not too good at "selfies" with my new phone. Also, my membership here ran out and I didn't renew till I could post the pics.
The jail has been gotten, so that sets the new target, but I wanted to post these pictures anyway!

Hey, that is a great challenge. It is....wait for it....SNOWING right now in Peoriaville, IL but I hope things warm up and dry up quick. I want to get and post the clown shot anyway, it is a landmark in the area, and no biggie if someone gets the jail first!

Joe, you devil! My bike is finally out of cold (really cold) storage and I remember where I can find a clown and you change the target.
Well, since I have been griping about changing it:stirthepot: I guess I will have to be OK with the new one. I know where there is a great old jail in Indiana, but I don't know of many in my immediate area.
Still, this sounds like a good new target. Thanks Joe.

Looking at the note, I guess it could be any clown, real, or otherwise. I guess I thought it had to be a real one, because there is a clown sign on an ice cream place just 10 miles from me, so I could get this one if it will stop raining now! So Flyinfool, better get crackin, cause I will go get this clown soon!

need a new target, clowns are hard to find out riding roads. Weather is about to break, and those in warm areas should get out.

Oops, I became a "TOO" rider today. Too cold. Threat of snow, so no chance to get the target. Have to try again next week when maybe it will warm up a bit. How about you warm weather riders, lets get this topic/game going again.

16 degrees now but roads are clear and dry, so I will try to ride today and see if I can drive by a fitness center and get a pic. No promises on doing anything healthy though (other than riding the Wing).

Joe, haven't heard from A1 for a while, so I say you have a good target for the season! Yes, I have been working hard this summer and fall to lose 35 pounds, and put 4 back on this week! So your target is a good one, and should be within easy reach of about everyone on the list, so I say go with: (oh, and Woo HOO! finally figured out how to update my visited states map showing my second big Western trip this summer!)

Excellent Joe! Now to do some research and then wait for a break in the rain. We have heavy rain forcast for every day for the next 7 except Wednesday here in Central IL. Quickly becoming LAKE Illinois.
