That's our friend Mark down here in Kentucky great guy, great service. Makes a nice light bar also!
I saw the light bar. That might be my next purchase. Do you have it on yourn? I'm just wondering how difficult it will be to wire into the elctrical system, and do the blink with the turn sig's or brake light only?
(side note)
I dont care how many tools it take to install them as long as i dont need any to operate it.:rotf:

You all are missing the point.....NO TOOLS REQUIRED..I can wash my bike and take the bags off with "NO TOOLS REQUIRED" say it with me..."NO..... TOOLS.... REQUIRED":cool10:

I just ordered a set of the saddle bag quick release Bolts. Man that was fast delivery, and they came by the U.S. postal service. They only took 3 or 4 days from time of order to delivery. Exellent service.
I'm not sure who on here is selling them and when i went back they were all gone but the sellers name on E-bay was hilliss. I did a google search for the saddle bag quick release.

I have nothing against Harley's it's a beautiful well made bike. But don't compare the best price you can find on a Harley's with some nut trying to sell a Royal Star for $3,000 dollars over MSRP. I can find you a brand new 08 RSV write now for under $16,000. So lets compare apples to apples. Harley's have come a long way with quality since the days of AMC or however it was that almost ruined Harley. Harley is lucky they survived that and if it were not for their loyal customers they would be out of business right now. Any company in the world would love to have the following that Harley has. Harley has the best marketing I have ever seen. I wish the other motorcycle companies had the same quality of marketing. Harley has the best selection of any dealer and the best after market parts for there machines. Like I said before if they were priced like the Jap bikes I would have one sitting right next to my Yamahas, but they are not. And to be honest with you if they did what it takes to be priced like the Jap bikes there quality would go down.
I have to agree. Just go to your local Yama Dealer and try to buy parts or clothes or anything for you r RSV. GOOD LUCK. Here in southern Md the only thing i got from the dealer was a liscense plate frame and a HARD TIME with the warrenty work. Almost al;l my buds ride HD's and they love them. Me, i bought the RSV FOR OTHER REASONS. I tell the all that HD has the market because the have marketing. just my 2 cents.

I got them you all were right. ACE is the PLACE. I was out shopping and stop at differnt places (Walmart True Value) but ACE was the only ones to have the blanks. I got 2 made for under $5.00. Thanks
-
I had mine made at a local locksmith. They had the blanks in stock.
If you go to Ace/True Value/Hardware Hank/etc. make sure you test it before walking away. I tried to have one done at a hardware store and it didn't work. Apparently, the key machine was worn out since it doesn't appear to be rocket science to make a key.
They are about $1 at the hardware store, about $2 at a locksmith. Just my $0.02.
RR
cool thanks. i think if it doesn't fit they will make one that does. i'll ride old Blue up there to make sure of the fit.

That still didn't give that moron an excuse to try and kill you and your passenger. I would have reported that nut to the police. And quite possibly he might have had to see his dentist the next day. I'm glad you are okay.
i dont think i would have reported a thing.

About 20's. A couple of years ago, I bought a pair of Carhart artic coveralls. I wore them riding 1 time. After that i figured, if its cold enough to wear them, then its too cold to ride.

I installed a magnetic plug this spring and after 7500kms when I changed the oil there was a bit of crap on it....nothing that I would get alarmed about. There is a magnetic plug on the rear diff .
Keith
This is where I bought mine http://www.magneticdrainplug.com
.....crush washers are alot cheaper than the dealer.....my dealer didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for new crush washers......said they never replace them.....scarey!
This place is a tree of knowledge. Thanks for the link. I will order a plug and some extra washers Before my next oil change.

Rain seat cover
in Watering Hole
Posted
Has anyone found a cover that fits the seat of the Venture to keep the seat dry in the rain? I saw a buddy the a H/D that had one the other day when a short burst of rain came by and it kept his seat dry at a poker run stop.
