  1. No, that is not correct.

The phrase was deliberately added to a comment to a specific User. You can parse it any way you like, but it was meant as a personal insult.

It's not a big deal, and discussing "civility" does not make it a big deal ... it's just a discussion.

Your assessment is correct this time because you had the facts before you made up your mind. I apologize for including you in that group!

Captainjoe please accept my sincerest apologies for offending you! I do have one nagging question though. Have you told your mommy about the big mean Redneck yet?:stirthepot::rotf::rotf::rotf:

  2. What do you mean? ... "Even if the story is correct".

If the story is correct then what happened was a gross violation of a citizen's civil rights involving arrest and jail.

The jury will hear it all if the Dealer is dumb enough to let it go that far .... They might not think it too much.

This is not a frivolous lawsuit of the type folk do not like. This guy has a genuine grievance, and the jury will make the award. The amount asked for is meaningless drivel, designed only to get their attention.

That is how these things work.

The Dealer will be advised to settle, and the amount will probably be roughly equal to the value of the car, plus costs. If the dealer doesn't take the deal, he may lose his business. The PD may be defendants too. They almost always settle when there is any kind of case to answer.

Really? You haven't even heard the opening statements but you have already convicted the dealer and the police. You have already decided what the outcome will be. As I said before we have way to many morons among us.
  3. I will bet there is more to the story. Police don't arrest people because a car salesman called and told them to. They had evidence or they would not have arrested him. Any moron on a jury that would award 2.2 million for this even if the story is correct is just that a moron. If you think your sticking it to the man your wrong. Ever wonder why thing cost so much? When the losers of the bs lawsuits start having to pay all expenses this will stop.

  4. I'm kinda surprised that the s 10 is better on dirt than the gs. I agree 100 percent that the smaller cc bike is better off road. My 1150 gs is a great bike until I get into some extreme off road situations then it is way to heavy. I tried to buy a v storm 650 before I bought the gs but the dealer wouldn't come off list price. I have my doubts that the v storm would be very good off road but I think it is a nice medium weight bike.

Hunter, I had 68k plus miles on my RSV and never had an issue with bearings.

Also, I have been known to take curves at a higher speed then most thus placing more strain on the bearings. Ya almost as fast as a ups truck but not quite hu.

  6. I had an 08 klr 650 it was fairly smooth fun to ride easy to through around but after 200 miles I wanted off. It would be a great commuter bike but the mileage is only in the mid 40's. I now have a r1150gs bmw and it is awesome I can ride it all day no problem. The bmw is heavy for extreme off roading but I have taken it through some pretty rugged country. Duel sport bike are great if you like the back country but the rsv is still the king of comfort for the long haul.
