What options are there out there for smaller antennas? I am thinking 4' antennas. I don't use the CB but I do use the radio. I have heard of the Marshall Mod but when I search it and click the link, it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

The Marshall Mod is mainly for the purpose of removing the single antenna/splitter into two antennas on the 1st Gen Ventures.

 

The 2nd Gen Ventures already have a divided antenna system, in theory you should be able to replace the antennas with the Firestik II (with adjustable tip). I haven't looked, but you might be able to use the existing brackets. In addition to the new antennas you might want to replace the cable between the antenna and the CB with an 18' one so that you get the correct length for the matching of the antenna to the CB. You can then adjust the tip to match it using an SWR meter.
