Rear Trunk

I know I should not have done it but to late its done. I removed the rear trunk. The wife never rides with me. My question is, can I hide the CB in one of my saddle bags with out destroying the bags or the CB since I use it a lot. How much work is involved. Thanks you for any help.

I would think yes you can. You will need to move the CB to the left saddlebag. Reroute the wiring to the saddlebag. On later Ventures, 2010 on, there is a hole on the upper inside of the bag near the front. This was used for the CD changer. Run your CB wires through there or drill a hole to run the wires. You will need an extension for the CB antenna cable and you will have to adjust the extension for SWR. I think all in all a doable project. And reversible should you ever put the trunk back on.
