RoyalRider05 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Hey all! I have released the bleeder valve and got all the old fluid out. However, after reading and following all the other posts I am having an issues getting pressure back in the line. The lever feels like mush(clutch not disengaging). Is this air? or am i missing something here? I did not use a vacuum. Should i go get a pump and try it this way? Thanks!
Little Bob Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 :cool10:Keep pumping the handle. It took me ten minutes but it will come back.
RoyalRider05 Posted July 21, 2014 Author Posted July 21, 2014 Good lord! Ok ill keep pumping it. i took out the bleed screw just in case and let it gravity feed the air out. I dont see any bubbles left. It was fine before i did it. Ill post back up. Thank you!
dvuch1 Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 Air is almost always the culprit despite getting fluid. Microbubbles that require a bit of time and patience. I use a suction pump on the bleeder. It eliminates the PUMPING and annoyance . .Harbor freight $20. Open bleeder.Use a cable tie on brake/clutch lever.....to keep it open....Apply suction ....keep reservoir full as you suction several batches through.....close bleeder..cut cable tie...should work..
RoyalRider05 Posted July 22, 2014 Author Posted July 22, 2014 Thanks yall! I was able to get all the bubbles out. It does take 10-12 minutes worth of pumping. Fluid is clean and good to go!
