Neil86 Posted July 31, 2014 Share #26 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) The 2nd gen RR senses the voltage at the regulator similiar to the later 1st gen units without the brown wire. I think you still have an issue on this bike. Are the harness plug terminals in good shape...thats a weak spot on the 2nd gen RR. crazygaucho Posted August 1, 2014 Author Share #27 Posted August 1, 2014 yes I will keep an eye on it. I think the only time I've seen a regulator like that was on old Cadillac if the 2nd gen has about 14V at all times something is not right with mine. Disregard this post because it will lead to more confusion and feel free to erase it I thought that our RR might work that way Thanks again for all the help Dan
Neil86 Posted August 1, 2014 Share #28 Posted August 1, 2014 Were all the battery voltage tests done right on the battery posts?

Neil86 Posted August 1, 2014 Share #30 Posted August 1, 2014 Dan... do you have a voltmeter wired in to monitor voltage riding? No sign that the harness plug at RR has been hot?
billmac Posted August 1, 2014 Share #31 Posted August 1, 2014 could have been the connections and unplugging them and replugging them in cleaned them up enough to get good contact.
