Bodaggit23 Posted July 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2014 I've had lots of comments on my exhaust..."is that stock?" "Did you drill the baffles out?" I don't have a GoPro so I recorded in HD and just used the audio for a short slideshow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJKmoAivSeE&feature=youtu.be
calperin Posted July 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2014 Mine has 4 muflers, but one thing is for sure, the end is not open like you have yours. And even the one on my venture also is not open like that. Somebody removed the baffle.
Bodaggit23 Posted July 2, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted July 2, 2014 (edited) Mine has 4 muflers, but one thing is for sure, the end is not open like you have yours. And even the one on my venture also is not open like that. Somebody removed the baffle. That's interesting...and why it sounds so badass! Haha! Anyone have a pic of what it's supposed to look like? ***EDIT*** I thought the tube was the baffle...there's definitely nothing in the tube now. lol Edited July 2, 2014 by Bodaggit23 Added pic
Bodaggit23 Posted July 4, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted July 4, 2014 No one has a picture of what the exhaust looks like with the baffle in? Are the baffles really removed? Does anyone think it sounds good? Like crap? Is removing the baffles bad or taboo? 108 views on this thread and I get one response...
Peder_y2k Posted July 4, 2014 Share #5 Posted July 4, 2014 Does anyone think it sounds good? Like crap? Just my opinion..... sounds not-so-good Is removing the baffles bad or taboo? Federal Law against modifying exhaust for highway use. I prefer a nice quiet sound, like a sewing machine, especially if I have to listen to it all day wearing my 1/2 helmet. That way I can hear if anything changes, and I can hear my passenger talking normally. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA '88 VR

Btw, this was a Washington bike until I brought it home to North Dakota in May. This is off a venture Thanks for the pic but it sort of looks the same to me...? Both open in the center. Also, the model number on my pipes is 4YE-2, the one in your pic is 4XY-2...if that matters? Not arguing, just trying to understand how it would have been removed. Thank you sincerely for replying...sorry I had to beg. *wink*

Sounds good mine where in the basement I Just changed them for HD take offs so I can always go back if needed.
