sleadhed Posted January 27, 2014 #1 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) FYI If the lower seal needs to be replaced when servicing the steering head bearings, the lower bearing must be removed. the bearing is pressed on. 99 times out of 100 the bearing is damaged when removing. The National bearing part number is #32006, Timkin #32006X, NTN #4T-32006X, About $24 at local auto parts store. I was servicing the bearings and I could not see not replacing the seal after all of the work to get the trees of of the bike. I cut the old bearing off and will be installing a new lower bearing and seals. Just waiting for seals and new progressive springs to arrive. Ken Edited January 28, 2014 by sleadhed
