Just put a Big O Classic All Season 165/80R15 on my 2000 ME. I really couldn't tell much difference in handling. Running 34 lbs pressure and it's as stable as the Pirelli it replaced. I'm not new to the dark side as I have a CT on my Majesty scooter. I've taken that tire coast-to-coast, have about 15,000 miles on the tire and it isn't showing any wear. I really like the footprint and siping of the car tire and would be dragging the bags to get up on the sidewall. I've found my scooter behaves much better on gravel and wet roads with the car tire and I anticipate I'll find the same on the RSV. The other thing I found is that the rear tire is cooler to the touch than the front tire.

On the Darkside on my Roadstar, seriously consider it pretty soon, Just bought an 08 RSV with a new rear tire I am going to wear out if I make it. Had a serious problem with my azzhole sucking up seat cushin when I was following a car through a Yellow light and they decided to stop, Gigantic lesson on Bike tires right there after running Darkside for 60K miles.

Post back how its working out and the air pressures, Im wondering how it handles in a curve over 80, My only concern. I hardly ever even do over 80 on the Road* but a lot on this bike.

AHhhhhhhhhhhh I need a Darkside tire TODAY put in for vacation had plans on picking up the Nexson 185 75 15 at Wal Mart what a joke none carry it and in all of Akron Ohio not one dealer did either, Any Ideas on a tire I can buy like tonight maybe salvage the vacation days I already took. ?? I refuse to go any longer on a Bike Tire, I was Darkside 6 years until I bought this bike that had a new Metz on it and it's trash in 7K miles, Barely 2 months for me.

Planning on going from NE Ohio to Kansas City and Ride Ozarks zig zag both ways.

HELP!

So far all I see are tires like the Nexson that I doubt will be available OTC I need something like available at Sams, or a tire dealer. BF goodricH 155 75 15?

I think you will be very lucky if you find anything locally. I do think that there are some bike tires that will last MUCH longer than that Metz did. If you are willing to try the Dunlop E3, it may surprise you. Not that I'm trying to talk you out of the darkside if that is what you want but just trying to save your vacation time.

ITS OFFICIAL CANCEL THE HELP REQUEST!

There are BF Goodrich 155 80 15/s out there, I offered to go get em but the dealers won't let me, they want to ship it. I could have my hands on one in 3 hours. I said i would pay and then go PU they won't do it. Iron Pony Want's $300 to stick a bike tire on. No thank you, I have VIDEO of me almost losing it in gravel with a bike tire. Too used to the traction of a CT Can't bring myself to do it.

Yea I HATE to put another bike tire on there and have to run that out, It's like risking your life!

I tried for several hours today while driving to find something. Nothing. Turned it over to my Tire guy after texting you, I have tread on the Metz but you know how that goes, the last part of an MC tire goes 4 times as quick, So I know it won't make the trip I have in mind.

All this came up spare of the moment as always. I actually had a shorter trip in mind East but Hate to have rain in my pictures.
