rhamm08 Posted August 8, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 8, 2010 I am considering putting The barons star bars on my 2008 rsv. Does anybody near the Sacramento,Ca area have these on their venture. I would like to see them on a bike before I decided to do it. Can anybody help?
Sylvester Posted August 8, 2010 Share #2 Posted August 8, 2010 You would get the same with a set of RSTD bars. I have them and they work great.
Seaking Posted August 9, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 9, 2010 You would get the same with a set of RSTD bars. I have them and they work great. The problem I have with my stock bars is just the grip 'angle'.. I feel I need my hands turned outwards more.. will the RSTD bar do this for me or is it the same angle but a wider / longer bar? rhamm08 Posted August 11, 2010 Author Share #5 Posted August 11, 2010 Do the RTD bars fit without the barons risers?

DONATALIE Posted August 15, 2010 Share #7 Posted August 15, 2010 Sylvester, Did you have to change the cables and/or wiring to use the RSTD bars? Thanks

Sylvester Posted August 27, 2010 Share #9 Posted August 27, 2010 You do not need the risers for the RSTD bars to work. I changed my cables to 2" longer (mostly because I wanted stainless), but others have not changed theirs but did re-routethe throttle cables. rhamm08 Posted September 16, 2010 Author Share #11 Posted September 16, 2010 I just installed the barons star bars on my 2008 rsv. I had to use the barons risers but the stock cables worked with re-routing throttle cables. Seems to be a great mod. I just need to put the stock rubber back in for fairing support!
