  1. I put 90000 miles on my 97. pulling a bunkhouse camper. Plenty of horse power. Top end is the same as the 1800 just takes longer to get there. Was on the Shrine drill team yup 1500 is a little harder to handle but actually more comfy on a road trip. I have 88000 on my 1800 although I love it the 1500 is more comfy even with a made for me gel seat. Also the back rest for the passenger leans back further on the 1800 than the 1500 making it less comfy for the passenger. Total miles on wing around 800000 miles on wings since 75, for nimbleness and handling 1800 for comfort 1500. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Ride em both make up your own mind. By the way my 97 now has 245000 miles on it just talked to the guy I sold it to a few months back he has had no issues, changed timing belts at 100000 and 200000 thats it. If you take care of em and run e it like you stole it they last forever:grandpa:

  2. There is a relay on your stebel horn they have a tendency to short out probably have one for the light bar as well not sure if you wired to switch and battery direct. I would check the relay if its shot it will b e pretty warm to the touch and have burned terminal posts. This will run down your battery:twing:sorry didnt read that you got a new battery. I keep all the batterys on a battery tender their cheap and keep your battery charged full always. A full constant charge will make the battery live twice as long

  3. Don't you really mean, its because we already made those same stupid mistakes..:Avatars_Gee_George: . . . . I believe when I was that age the phrase I used most was. . . . . .I better not try that one again.:Avatars_Gee_George: . . . and I never did. :thumbsup2:. . I was too busy finding new stupid stunts to apply that phrase to.:bang head::bang head:

  4. I would wash it real good dry it out, use some seam seal and then spray the entire canvas with 3m sealer. zippers use some silicone make sure you don't get it on anything that could be painted in the future silicone and paint don't do well together. looks like a great buy to me. anytime your not sleeping on the ground is good http://cdn.content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/00020408.gif:twing:

  5. Well jer878, I would go with the Kury hitch for the 1800 since you don't really have a main frame, pulled a bunkhouse round 50000 miles, never an issue and mostly weighed in at round 500lbs. Vertically challanged eh http://cdn.content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/0002041D.gifinstead of Hyway pegs I would get floor boards instead much more comfy I have both but rarely use hyway pegs

  6. I thought the Venture was expensive to get set up the way I wanted. This new Wing is going to get even more expensive. After ordering a windshield and a few more things from Wingstuff I've already invested about $1500 in stuff and there are a few more things on my shopping list. Fortunately my wife doesn't watch the bank account too closely. However, it did cost me an evening in Coldwater Creek. That was about as expensive.
