I ordered the following off E Bay
K&L Supply KL Supply - 18-4615 - Universal Fuel Pump Point Switch Kit 29-2200
@ $30.70. Exact fit.
Supplier was OEMCYCLE

too much damage to file and the new set was only $30 so I replaced them

Well after the 2nd time that my Fuel pump let me down I decided to replace/repair it. OEM Pump was $203 and a repair kit was $30 so I decided to try the points repair. Really easy repair and now pump seems OK. The pics attached show the worn out contacts. Bike only has a little over 25,000 miles

My 2007 just experienced the exact same issue, even to the clicks when turning on the ignition. When I finally got it to run it was after I heard maybe 5 or 6 clicks which reprimed the carbs. Has run OK for the last few days, not sure of reliability at this point. At least the bypass is an easy fix so that I do not get stranded:headache:

I have no issue with the headset and the sound quality is pretty good. However i do not wear an helmet so cannot comment on the issues with helmet use:confused24:

Ok, now my 2 cents worth. I have had my Kumho on my 08 Venture for about a year now and for the type of riding I do I should have done this a long time ago. Now for some more info about my riding. My bike is equipped with a Champion Escort sidecar about 2006 model and adds about almost 200 pounds to the bike. Riding with that kind of weight and towing a trailer the Kumho tire that I had mounted on my bike has given me a tremendous amount of traction and stability on both acceleration and deceleration on my bike. Taking sharp curves and turns in the hill country of central Texas is also so much more stable no slipping and no sliding at all unless your on a a wet road.
So far I have about 11,000 miles on the tire and so far not much in wear is showing.
I think and this is my opinion, this is about as good as it gets.

What pressure do you have in the tire:confused24:

Hi there;
I can't answer your question but...
How easy did the tire seat on your rim? Do you know at what pressure it seated?
I just put a Voyager kit on & my next tire change will be a CT now. The Kumo was a *****!
Thanks,
JohnB
Not sure, I didn't watch. The installer told me it was no problem.

I just installed a car tire on my motorbike (with a sidecar) and was looking for suggested tire pressure. The tire is a Nankang CX668 165/80 R15 87T BSW (AS).
Anyone with this type of setup please respond
Thanks

Just put the car tire on the rear a few days ago. I read all there was to read on the darksider forum.
With only 100 miles, I'm still in the "check it out" stage. Did have to adjust the tilt of the sidecar, and it rides great. Makes sense with the sidecar rig as I don't lean the same as a 2-wheeler. I haven't had it over 65 mph either.
Then again, I'm new to sidecars and bikes as a driver, so it's all an experiment at this stage!
What size and Brand of tire did you put on your bike:confused:

To all, thanks for your prayers, my wife and I really appreciate your spiritual support

Please say a prayer for my wife and I. Our 28 year old daughter passed away in her sleep on October 15th. We have just returned from Canada after laying her to rest and are trying to deal with the grief and sorrow.
The autopsy results will take 5 to 6 months:95:

Looking for advice from sidecar owners as to recomendations for a front tire replacement on my RSV and Hannigan side car rig? I have heard mention installing a rear tire backwards on the front. just looking for more information before i make a decision
thanks:confused07:

I have had an Hannigan mounted on mine for about a year and have been very pleased with the combo

Not cable position, already posted the cause and remedy, see post above

I found that the Buddyrich cell phone mod cable was loose in the fairing bundle. I seperated and greased all of the connectors and re-assembled. No noise from ignition:cool10:

I've recently started to get a ticking noise through my Headset. The noise is directly related to engine revs so I believe its caused by the ignition system. On old vehicles we used to install chokes (capacitors) to eliminate this.
Because this has only just started to happen on my 2007 RSV which I have had since new maybe this choke or whatever the bike uses has broken down. Could anyone advise me as to where this type of device or any other device that the bike uses for ignition noise supression is loacated:(
Thanks

I guess you mean this one

Is it possible to remove the rear wheel on a 2nd Gen venture with a side car still attached? If so, what is the procedure?
-
It added 5 deg of rake. Hannigan manufacture a complete new triple tree, so I still have my origional. Have not really noticed a larger U turn requirement, however the nature of the modification will inherently mean a larger radius for the turn. A small price to pay for easier handling and turning:thumbsup2:
