  1. I'm about to install my new passing lamps on my 06 R.S. Venture. Is it ok to pick up the power for the lamps off the power wire to the power outlet (cig lighter) the only thing I use the power outlet for is the GPS. The power outlet will already be fused and I'm wondering if I could eliminate the in line fuse to the lamps... then it would be much easier to get at if the fuse blows....:icon_smile_question

  2. Yep... Pledge to the rescue ... I been using it for years.

I realize this is an old string but just came across it and found it very interesting... I have used windex but never used pledge. It sounds great and I would like to give it a try. However... there are many types of Pledge ????? multi surface, clean & shine, protection plus, extra moisturizing, revitalizing oil, natural beauty, and lots of wipes.

My guess is the multi surface that you experienced riders refer to, would that be the right choice ??

  3. Rosie, I use a beer koosie and cut out the bottom inner circle and push it down over my gas cap. I saw this on other bikes at the Kitchenr Rally last year. At 140km/h the bottle of water doesn't even shake rattle or shimmy.

You just have to remember when you gas up and take it off that you don't drive away and leave it sitting on the gas pump like I did with my excellent one hand operation Venture Rider stainless steel mug. I'm still mad at myself. Luckily my wife lets me use hers now.

Thay really sucks that you lost your mug..... neat idea with the beer koozie

  4. You must post a pic. Everyone will want to see how you done it.....:sign20:

Ok some like em & some don't... for those who do :D a good, low cost holder would be of interest to lots of riders (like me)

I currently have a cheap plastic one on the handle bar that works ok but would quickly replace with a better one if the price was right and would love to put one on the back for the wife

  5. Another Alaska Leather recommendation from me. Great folks. Mention this site and you might get a 10% discount. I have had my sheepskin for 8 years and it's still like new. I have also bought their sheepskin insoles for winter riding and highly recommend them.

Pick up a bottle of Anti-MonkeyButt powder too. Great for those long rides on hot days.

I just got mine from Alaska leather too, fit good, easy to clip on & off and feel good so far. Haven't been on a real long trip yet though.

  6. About a month ago I filled the tank (maybe a little too full) and ever since then the gauge flashes on and off every time the tank is full. After riding a few miles it straightens out and works fine until the next fill. Anyone seen this happen.... maybe time to go see the dealer :icon_smile_question

  7. Hey Don, just new here but I want to join the support and send a little from Sarnia Ont. On another note, have you ever heard of Ionized Water ??

It's easy to research and a lot of positive feedback. The wife and I bough a Tyant. A lot of people think if it sounds too good to be true it probably is but what the heck... if it does a 1/4 of some of the claims then it's all good.

    More prayers from Ontario
