[Electronic speedometer]

Hi guys:

Does the Royal Star have an electronic speedometer/odometer? If it does, where is the sensor unit mounted, and can I install one of those sensors on my first gen' which now sports an electronic speedometer?

It will be an attachment point to brace the rear fender, which will be completely, and only, attached to the swingarm.

[What's behind the rubber plug???]

There is a cast-in boss running across the top of the rear end drive, just aft of the joint between the torque tube and the drive. There is a rubber plug in the end of that boss. I need an attachment point and it looks like there might be a threaded hole behind the plug. The plug is very tight and I might destroy it while removing it. Does anybody know if there is a threaded hole behind it?

[83 VR dash]

Before I start ripping the dash apart, can someone tell me if the dash components can be easily separated? As it stands, I cannot use the whole dash on my project bike.

It was YamaCarl, I dont know if he is a member any longer, but he had one on his 1st Gen that he pabricated himself and mounted a large 2 barrel I think.
