  1. How does it look now? :) I got the new brackets yesterday and got the bags installed today. Very easy when you have the right parts.

    The only thing I'm going to miss about my old bags is the lock. I can't leave anything in these and feel safe. Oh well, I think they look so much better.

    I can't find a part number on the bags anywhere. But I'm pretty sure they are the ones that fit my bike. On Yamaha's website, it shows these bags and says they fit the Royal Star and all Road Stars. These bags came off of a 2000 Road Star

     

    One concern I have is getting the correct mounting brackets. Here is what came with the package I bought (for a Road Star)

    They will not fit my bike. The holes for the fender mounts match up but not the arm that extends from the bottom.

     

    Pegscraper- those part numbers are different than the part number I found on Yamaha's website. See link.

    This link shows part number STR-4NL73-40-00 for the mounting hardware.
