not sure the history of bike, sea foam and plugs new,carb diaphragms new, other than that nothing. could it have anything to do with the carb sink even if the bike only does this @ 40 2 45?

my friend owns a 86 and he loves it, he asked me a question that i couldnt answer,i told him to join the site and i think that he is going to, thats good, so the question that he asked me is,@ a steady speed of 40 to 45 mph his bike seems to hesitate and sputter a bit, and it does it all the time, does anybody have good advice that could help solve this problem, let me thank you in advance for your help. thank you:thumbsup2:

I have been looking all over this site and online merchants for a rear brake master cylinder rebuild kit and cannot find one for the 83 Venture. If anyone has an extra one laying around or can tell me where to find one that would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

i have a issue with my air ride system that i dont get, soldered all 6 points in the board, put the beads in oven, cleaned all connections, put the bike together and yea, it works,im sooo happy, day 2, worked 2x then, e2, then it worked again, then e2, then it worked again, day3, e4, what! then e4, and again and again, what the @#$%, on the good note i can touch my feet flat on the ground at a stop sign, any ideas?

Finally! Here it is: 2 months of work, 2 months of asking you guys and gals for advice and help, and now i can finally put the rubber to the road with much pride and even more joy. I have to thank all of you for your help and i hope that my efforts will help resonate the pride that we all have and the respect that comes with being the stewards of these dignified works of art. i realize that this isn't everybody's cup of tea, but for me it couldn't go any other way. i will not be upset at any criticism you may have so don't hold back - i do want your honest opinions. i found a new place to get some parts for our bikes 1st and 2nd gen, looks good to me, maybe freebird can set up some kind of discount for our site.

i dont know if i would want to deal with all that,and the 2nd gear issue,if i would of known about these issues i may have waited for a later model, the bike just turned 20000miles so i have time, monty did you tell your grandson to come to take pictures of the hitch?

does anybody know how to test a rectifier, a new stator did not do the trick, electrical is not my thing, battery is good and so is the regulator,thanx:sign67:
