  1. Maybe Geico didn't want to give all the discounts is the reason they wouldn't insure me. 5% discount for being a mature rider, another for having my cars insured with them and 20% for being a MSF instructor. That would be about 30 to35% off.

  2. I have mine thru AmericanModern select Insurance. I am payiing $224 a year for full coverage. I called Geico tp get a quote and they tool me they could not insure me because I am MSF Instructor. Have you ever heard of this before? Have all my cars and truck insured thru them and am thinking of dropping them and getting some one else for my other vehicles ! Before I told them I was a MSF Instructor they quoted me a price of $704 a year.

  3. Well today I filled up and got 72MPG.It was not until that I started looking at this bike that I heard of the SHOCK TUBE. It goes around the rear shock to seal it from drit and other grime and it works. I have never heard of one ofr the Venture but I bet they make one. It will well worth the price with so many shocks going bad.

  4. As of the 11th I sold my Venture and now a Honda NC700x. For me it is so much easier to ride and weights 400 lbs less and am getting close to 70mpg on the first tank of gas. Hated to sell the Venture but the Nc700x is better for me. Thanks for all the help over the years, you saved me hundreds of dollars.

  5. Went to see the NC700X at the Honda dealer yesterday. I can put both feet flat on the ground and the center of gravity is real low, like a 250. Out the door price with saddle bags mounts, tour box with months center stand and heated grips, touring windshield is $8500. My Venture is now for sale. It is an'07 with HD muffler, blue flames on decals, buttler mod on seat, stock pipes and stock windshield, new front tire, michelin commander 11. LED light bar. $10k. 26k miles.

  6. Has anyone ridden or know anything Honda's NC700 ? Due to the numbness in my feet and lack of strength after loosing 130 lbs I have dropped the RSV several times lately due to it being a little top heavy. I believe I need to get a smaller bike to keeping riding since my wife does not want to ride any more. There is the NC700v & x models and they are suppose to get over 70 mpg.

  7. Findley found my problem. Dyna beads says to remove wheel weights, which I did. Found out that the manufactor balances the rim, and I removed those weights. Put them back on yesterday and everything was back to normal. There were five 1/4 oz. stick on weights and a local shop gave me the weights, Yamaha shop would not, said I had to order them even though they had the weights, they would not sell them to me.

  8. Well bike won't run. Filled up with gas on thursday and washed it. Saturday went to crank it up and it only ran for about 30 seconds and quit. Fuel pump did not click on. Today I drained the tank and carbs. Still no clicking from fuel pump. Tested with ohmn meter and got no resistance between the blue/black and black wires going to fuel pump. Is there a fuse and where is it? Battery is good Cutoff switch is on and have new gas with seafoam.

    HELP!
