  1. Trader

I have the stinger trailer and do not think moving the axle for weight adjustment is necessary

It is well balanced and works well even in unfavorable conditions.

I have it in my garage and if you are ever in this part of Ontario your welcome to have a look at it

  2. I have the stinger trailer and loading and unloading with one person is not a problem

It sits very low to the ground and the bike stays put once in the wheel chuck

Mind I do not have a Venture but it works good for a RSTD

  3. I have a stinger motorcycle trailer that i used to trailer my RSTD from Stratford Ontaro to Lake Havasu AZ. It work perfect through the most worst road conditions imaginable

It folds up small to store and is easy to load the bike on by yourself.

It can be used with a midsize car no need for truck.

If you google stinger trailers you will find all kinds of information and pictures

  4. Thanks everybody for the help so far. It's looking like a coil problem.

I have an mechanic with a small shop near by who I have used before and he is willing to take a coil of a 2009 model and put it on mine and replace it with one from Yamaha when they get them in. I believe at this time it is my best option if I want to get riding again as soon as possible.

V7Goose thanks for the offer of a coil but if this works out I will not need it. If it doesn't go as planned I will get back to you.

This is a US bike so the warranty doesn't work up here

Again many thanks to everyone I'm always amazed at how helpful everyone on this site is.

Hopefully early next week I will be able to let you no that a coil fixed it

  5. I did not measure the resistance of the plug gap. I don't know whats needed to do this.

I thought by having tested it for spark with out the plug cap on and getting no spark It would be the coil.

I.am home from work now and I will change the wires on the coil and plugs to see what this does.

I've checked all the dealers in the area and they all say the coil is a back order 2-3 weeks

I'am waiting to find out if I can get one from a wrecker.

    Thanks for all your help

  6. I tried the nail thing with the other coil guess my plyers are not so well insulted. My heart is strong anyways. Seems to be lots of spark by the lifter I got

Tried to change the wires on the coils seemed like both cylinders were not getting hot don't no if I had the clips on tight kind of hard to tell.

Switch wires back on coil and left side did not warm up right did again.

So I'am thinking it's a coil. What do I have to remove to get at them my fat fingers don't seem to fit in that spot

  7. My gas mileage dropped by about 10 mpg. I checked and my left back cylinder wasn't heating up the pipe so I removed the plug and it was fouled I replaced with new plug but pipe still does not heat up So cylinder is still not firing. I can do some repairs but am not sure on what is the best way to trace this problem. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  8. THere's no snow because it happened on Dec 3 before the snow started in our area.

Roads and weather was clear. I had to slow down to about 80kmh for traffic when we got hit from behind.

Tow truck driver arranged for a rental car to be delivered at interchange and police asked me to fill out as much off the report as I could till the rental got there.

The emergency people working that highway certainly earn there money
