  1. I haven't been on for several months and recent events brought me back. I wanted to see a forum where writing Merry Christmas wouldn't get you booted out.

We bought a motorhome earlier this year and have been a member of a couple of yahoo groups. Recently someone put Merry Christmas in a post, the moderators ruled this as violating the rule against arguing religious ideas. This set off a a lot of posts on the subject, with a bunch of people leaving. I wrote the moderators and asked to be dropped from this group as I said I felt they were wrong.

Tried another similar yahoo group I subscribe to today and I am no longer a member there, Guess there is cominality between them.. Guess no more help on our motorbike.

    So Merry Christmas to you.

    Mike

  2. I looked at the hoses, they come out behind the damping shock. The leak is coming from above the damping shock hose attachment point (top of shock) and above the yellow chromed part above this. There are no fluids coming out of any of the overflow hoses.

So at this point I do not think it is a stuck float.

    Any other thoughts?

  3. Started up the 87 VR today and pumping fuel onto the ground behind the center stand.

It looks like it is coming from the bottom front of the fuel tank. Only running out (very heavy) when engine is running. Is the fuel pump located there? Is there information on taking it apart so I can determine what is leaking?

    Thanks for the help

    Mike

  5. I use the Harbor freight 96349-2 in my trailer for my 1st gen's. You ride into it and it locks the bike in. Holds it up straight, I get off and then strap the bike down. If I park it in it for the night, I put it in the stand and put down the side stand. It is usually still standing up straight the next morning. When you go to exit it, just get on the bike and pull backwards. Since my trailer is enclosed, I cannot talk about the finish for outdoors. Also if you are not in a hurry, sign up for harbor freight store and online coupons. They put this on sale a lot this time of year

Look at this thread. The system is slow. In auto I push the front or rear, then wait for the pressure and L, M or H to display. Then push one of the other two buttons L, M or H to change pressures. The pressures are set per the service manual. The raise and lower on work in Manual mode. Still must push front or rear first. LOL.

  7. The armor adds protection, but the manufacturers do not tell you the level provided. They like to say "CE" approved armor, not the level 1, 2 or 3 (highest). The back pads in your jacket are not CE approved according to the description. Also, back pads offer the most dubious protection and in some places are not even recommended. If space is tight and it could fit without the back pad, you might want to consider this option. Most armor is removable.
