Does anybody know if the seal kits and the break pads on a 1988 Venture are all the same? I called my local Yamaha shop and either he was not very knowledgeable or did not want to answer my question because he knew I was going to order elsewhere to save money. I have had the bike for only a year and the calipers have never been touched so I want to rebuild them. I can get the break pads online at half the price but the site only lists pads for the rear, so I'm wondering if the pads are all the same front and rear? If so I can just order 3 sets of rear pads. Also I'm pretty sure but not certain that the caliper seals are all the same, front and rear. Thing is I'm confused as to how many seal kits per caliper, the manual lists 2 for the front and 2 for the rear but I'm thinking it means 2 per caliper. If anyone has done this repair could you please provide me with the correct info, it could save me over $100 online compared to buying at the dealer.
