  1. Larry.......I got your pm......I'm really sorry we didn't make it. We have a big trip coming up in two weeks and decided to save the money. thanks for all the information just the same, and maybe we can get up there later this summer.

  2. HEY! Can Colleen and I crash this meet n greet? We're thinkin of riding up friday evening, spending saturday there, and then riding home Sunday. Also - would be great if someone could suggest an inexpensive, yet not trashy, motel.

  3. Since I started actively watching this site a month or so ago, I can't help but notice.....there are ALOT of ice cream lovers on this site. Up until now, I thought there was something wrong with me....friends often make fun of me for "diving off the road" every time I see a DQ.

I've finally found a site with like minded, intelligent, fun loving, motorcycle riding ice cream lovers. I think I'm gonna fit right in!:322::cool10:

  4. The other motorcycle board i belong to, have riding meet & greets at The Hub in Marble Falls, AR 2ce a year.

the next one is June 2 - 5. It's owned by 2 of the nicest people you'll ever want to meet & know.

The funest road around is Hwy 123, and the AR 'dragon'....it's not only very very twisty, but it's elevation rises a LOT in a very short distance. so not only is it twisty, it's STEEP. very exciting road. :D

DANGIT! I was gonna say that.

  5. I agree...first make sure that all the wind deflectors that should be there are still there.

Next, WHERE are you feeling the wind? If it's to the torso and/or face, then the wings are not the answer. There are several aftermarket windshields available to help in that regard. F4 gives us a discount of their great shield. It is available in several heights but even more importantly, it is 4" wider.

Clearview Shields also makes a nice and wider shield for our bikes.

If you are getting wind in other places, it will depend upon where it is coming from.

BuddyRich makes some great deflectors if you are getting wind on your knees.

Yamaha makes a set of nice lower deflectors that connect to the crash bars.

Baker also makes a set but I don't think theirs look as good as the ones from Yamaha. They may work better though, I don't know as I've never used them. I do know that they seem expensive to me.

Personally, I have the wider/taller shield, the Yamaha lower deflectors and the BuddyRich knee blockers. I get very little wind if any at all.

Could you post a link to the windshields you speak of? thanks.

  6. That and the battery takes a beating as you usually don't keep the RPMs up enough to keep it charging sufficiently.

Yeah....and she likes to use the stebel alot. But she looks pretty cute with her biker pug behind her on the bike. If I knew how to post pix here, I would.....but I don't want to take the time to learn. Lazy...yes......plus my bike is calling my name.
