I narrowed mine down but left the spings alone. I put a new tounge on it that was 2 ft longer. Pulls great. Here are some pictures. I also added a cooler rack on the front.

The hitches from mchitch.com are inexpensive and work great. The are a removable when not in use.

Here is a website that sells an affordable hitch that some of the Venture riders have purchased. Easy to install and looks good.

That's great, I have a custom hitch maker that will buy in quantity if they are able to make one

That is where I put my adapter in, but i have a buddy that has a RSV and did not want to cut into the wiring.

Does anyone know of a wiring harnes that is available to hook up trailer adapter without cutting into wiring? I knoe they make them for cars, but did not know if they are available for RSTD or RSV.

what is stage 2 modification? I punched out the baffles with a 1" rod and drilled 4 1/2' holes in the inlet side and would still like more sound. What else can I do

I installed the Road King mufflers last night on mine. You need two 1 3/4 chrome clamps. I bought them from J P Cycles. They are 3/4 inch wide and cover the area nicely. Next you need the Brackets to hold up the back. There are a few ways to do it. I used the ones I bought from another member. If I remember right ECK can send you the drawing and spec for the Brackets. Gonna be hard to get them slid up enough but a little light force and they go on. Keep in mind the 2006 and later ones have Catalytic converters in it so they are no good. 97-2005 is good. Also there are two cuts. the end has a slash cut on one type and the other has a flat back. Both are the same. There are also different types of Drilling the baffles to make them a little louder. I put them on first with out driling and tested how loud. I wanted a little louder so I drilled to Phase I which is 4 holes 1/2 inch in the first plate you see when you look in the inlet. Perfect for me. I like the sound. Not too loud but more than stock.
could you send me some pictures of how you drilled?
I've got the hitch...

There is a motorcycle hitch dealer that has made the plug and play wiring harness for the Venture. You can find info at mchitch.com. I put one on my 2008 venture and it works great. They are located in Nebraska and Iowa and will ship anywhere.
