Here is were I am in my thought pattern (crazy as it may be). I posted request for some items a while back and have not had any productive responses. Since I can't afford new stuff, being retired and all I was reading the Pay It Forward section of the site and thought this might work.

I have a 1996 RSTC and need a drivers back rest. Can't ride as long as I would like with a bad back so here is my idea. If some one that has a drivers back rest that would fit my bike and is willing to send me pictures of the system mounted on the seat and would make me a cardboard pattern of the mounting frame work I can make one. I have done some upholstery work and can make the pad portion. In turn (if this works) I can provide the pad portion to help someone who might be in the same position as I am with getting a back rest for their ride.

I still need a lugage rack and replacement windshield but one step at a time.
