Shift cam segment install

Hello,

I just started my trial membership, as I just picked up a 1984 Venture that would not go into 4th or 5th gear. After reading on here, I determined that the problem was with the shift cam segment. This was confirmed after pulling out the clutch basket and one of the tabs was bent and pin missing. Ordered the new parts from Skydoc_17 and now running into some trouble with the install.

 

After the install, the bike will only hit 1st and neutral. Seems that the cam segment is not moving enough to engage the other gears. I believe there may be some kind of misalignment somewhere. Is there a procedure for aligning the shift segment (I did not see one in the service manual). Thanks for any help you can offer.
