I am looking to put 4 way flashers on my 06 RSTD but can not find them. Anybody have any ideas where I can get them? Thanks!:mo money:

You can wire in a flasher through a single throw two circuit toggle switch and feed it to the wires for the two rear turn signals. Everything will fit under the seat, and you can mount the toggle switch through one of the side covers. I hope this helps.

Take a look at the Kisan signalMinder. I added it to my Suzuki Volusia, mainly for turn signal cancellation & running lights, but it has the added benefits of 4-way flashers and escort mode flashers (alternating left-right turn signals). It utilizes the stock turn signal switch for the flasher features: four consecutive on/off lefts for 4-ways, rights for alternating.

I purchased the SM-3SV, but that was for Suzuki Volusia. It was a splice-in model. They probably don't list one for the RSV or RSTD because these bikes have turn signal cancellation already. I would look at the SM-4 (if the plug matches) or possible the SM-3SV (splice-in), but it would take some fiddling, I'm sure. My initial thoughts would be that you could set the ts cancellation on the signalMinder to the longest setting so it would not interfere with the built-in ts cancellation already on the bike -- the bike would cancel them before the SM module's time ticked away. Then you'd only be using the SM module for running lights (if you hooked that up) and flashers. I'm not sure that it would work as I have not done it on the Yamaha myself, but I don't see why not. This is all just my :2cents:

The Road Star Clinic article is excelent. One change I would suggest is to put the switch on the center panel instead of the side panel. That way when u remove the side panel u don't have to contend with the wires. There is a nice empty space just under the fuel pump for the switch and flasher.[at least on a RSTD].Herb

I installed the KRISS Ind. four ways on my 05 RSTD. Installation was stright foward and I also used a chrome handle bar switch ( 2 push bottons) to turn them on and off. The secod switch is for my highway lights. Ill post some photos if you like, just let me know. Here is the link to KRISS Ind. http://www.kriss.com/

If you are going to wire into the turn signal's you should put 2 diodes in line. this is so if you turn on the turn signals and the flashers are on the current will not go into the Flasher circuit.

I went with the Amber strobes on Ebay, 3 modes to choose from.A frient has the white strobes on his KZ 1000 Police bike. they are sweet.

Attached you will find the pics I promised. Sorry it took so long! The first is of the location which is under the seat. Next to the unit is the relay that need to be installed next to it to power the unit. The second pic is of the switch on the right handle bar. the top button activates my highway lights the bottom for the flashers. If you decide to follow this configuration i will add the info if requested. Just give me some time to get my notes together...sorry about the lack of pics, I'm not sure what happen. Ill text them to you and try again to post later.
