RPM's?

Recommended Posts

This is the first bike I've ever owned that doesn't have a Tach. In the past, I'd only use it as i was getting used to the bike and then as I got accustomed to it, i'd shift by sound. It was a bit odd getting onto this bike without that guage. Then i found in the owners manual, it's discussing checking the idle speed and it specifically calls out values for RPM. is there something I'm missing here? some magic tach that i just haven't found yet? like that darn clock that i didn't know was there until i read it in the book?

thanks! I was unaware that this was an option! i'm assuming it's a bit more involved than just plugging something in to some spot that i'm not aware of? would any after-market Tach work? I'd love to see how some folks have implemented this.
