Fatrat Posted April 23, 2022 Share #1  Posted April 23, 2022 Hello from Norway 🙂 I am fixing a bike for a friend. There have been multiple "mechanics" doing things to the bike, so i stepped into a big mess. Blink, music, air, cruisecontrol, sidestand and clutch switch have been removed with what appears to be little knowledge. I have had many hours putting wiring back together, and lights, brakes and start is fuctioning again. My problem is i only get spark on 1 coil. Switched connector to another coil and got spark on that, so coils are good. Pickup coils all got good values. I have good positive and negative to the CDI box. I think the CDI is broken. I believe the CDI is a 26H-09, can i use a 26H-10? Hope some of you can help me 🙂 Tommy. cimmer Posted April 25, 2022 Share #2  Posted April 25, 2022 Tommy, I am not real familiar with the XVZ1200 but for a test I would think it would be okay. I check the part numbers out and the CDI starting with 26H-09 is for a 1983 Venture. It was a replacement for the 26H-10 by Yamaha. 31 Ignitor Unit Assembly 26H-82305-10-00  26H-82305-09-00 The above is copied from the USA Yamaha parts list for the 1983 XVZ1200 and is under the electrical 2 listing... https://www.partshark.com/oemparts/a/yam/50042483f8700209bc787e5d/electrical-2  Hope this helps you out.
